Working to bring together collections that sit within higher education institutions that teach art and design histories and practices in order to talk about how those collections support research, teaching, public engagement, knowledge exchange and emerging concerns.
Values
- Establish an informal, grass roots, non-hierarchical group comprised of staff employed in collections situated within HEIs.
- Welcome members from all levels and job families and will create spaces for discussion where every voice can be heard.
- Come together to create opportunities for knowledge sharing and discussions around professional practice.
- Work with the group to identify what is important to them and programme accordingly.
aIMS
- Hold regular online meetings to exchange knowledge and ideas.
- Arrange regular in-person meetings to dig deeper into the topics identified as being important for the group.
- Scope potential for publications, books or events via the membership – reaching out beyond the UK for diverse viewpoints.
